The Lindenstraße Memorial would like to be accessible to all and strives to remove existing barriers. Unfortunately, this is not currently possible in all areas. However, efforts are continually being made to remove further barriers.
Access to the inner courtyard
Access to the inner courtyard is wheelchair accessible to a limited extent (cobblestones).
Access to the permanent exhibition
The permanent exhibition is located in the front building and the detention building. Most areas are accessible only by stairs and narrow corridors. Unfortunately, only a small part of the permanent exhibition in the front building is accessible to wheelchairs by means of a lift.
In the entrance area of the memorial, there is a media station that can be accessed by wheelchair, allowing you to move virtually through the memorial and listen to the audio guide.
An audio guide in Germen Easy language is available at the entrance at any time.
Access to the special exhibitions and the administration
The special exhibition area on the upper floor of the front building is accessible only by stairs, as is the administration of the Lindenstraße Memorial Foundation.
Access to the event hall
The event hall on the first floor of the front building is accessible via ramps.
WC and nappy-changing room
A barrier-free WC is accessible in the front building next to the event hall via a lift.
There is no baby changing room at the Lindenstraße Memorial.
Aids
At the Lindenstraße Memorial you can borrow mobile seating for visiting the permanent exhibition and the special exhibitions.
Parking spaces
The Lindenstraße Memorial does not have its own parking spaces. Public parking spaces for the disabled are located in the immediate vicinity on the corner of Gutenbergstraße and Lindenstraße.
