On October 3, 2025, on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of German reunification, the Lindenstraße Memorial Foundation invites you to its traditional open house with a varied program.
The Lindenstraße Memorial is one of the central places of remembrance and education in the state of Brandenburg. Located in the heart of Potsdam, it is housed in a former prison and courthouse and commemorates political persecution and imprisonment under the Nazi dictatorship, the Soviet occupation zone, and the GDR, as well as the overthrow of the SED dictatorship through the Peaceful Revolution of 1989/90.
Admission to the memorial, guided tours (in German), and eyewitness discussions (in German) are free of charge on this day, and audio guides in English, French, Spanish, German, and easy German are available free of charge throughout the day.
